Our Patron

His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC,His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Governor of Queensland, became our patron in 2014. He is the 26th Governor of Queensland and representative of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queensland’s Head of State. 

A dedicated long-standing Queenslander, Mr de Jersey was appointed the Governor of Queensland on 29 July 2014. He was born in Brisbane in 1948, the third son of school teacher parents Ronald and Moya (both now deceased).

The Governor won a Commonwealth Scholarship to the University of Queensland, from which he graduated in Arts in 1969 and Laws (with Honours) in 1971.

In December 1971, the Governor married Kaye Brown. Mr and Mrs de Jersey have three children and three grandchildren.
